The International Festival of Catalan Cinema FIC-CAT has awarded Idrissa, Chronicle of an Ordinary Death the prize for Best Documentary
at its 12th edition held from the 8th to 15th of June in Roda de Berà. The screening of the documentary was accompanied by a Q&A session and interviews with the director Xavier Artigas and Jordi Ambrós, Head of Documentaries at TV3 and commissioner of the project. Xavier Artigas and producer Belen Sánchez were presented the award on Saturday.
Barcelona city council recently awarded the film with the prestigious journalism and social awareness prize Montserrat Roig. Idrissa, Chronicle of an Ordinary Death, is a cutting-edge film production shot in Barcelona, across Spain and Africa, produced by Polar star Films and Metromuster and directed by Xavier Artigas & Xapo Ortega.
