Alba Bresolí’s short documentary When the Mountain Rumbles never ceases to surprise us and bring good news.
After receiving a Special Mention from the Jury at the most recent edition of the Málaga Film Festival, the film has also been awarded the Young Jurors CineZeta Prize, at the Documenta Madrid Festival.
The panel chose When The Mountain Rumbles, “for being a film that from a concrete portrait speaks of the institutional violence that has historically been exercised on the people who live in rural areas.”. In addition, they stressed that Alba “achieved this portrait without fetishizing or romanticizing life and work in the countryside, but rather through the testimonies of the protagonists themselves who speak of their experience, unfulfilled desires and how this situation affects them”.
