The documentary short film WHEN THE MOUNTAIN RUMBLES, directed by Alba Bresolí, will be available on Filmin starting today.
Alba Bresolí’s first documentary film, WHEN THE MOUNTAIN RUMBLES, tells the story of the Guallar family who refused to leave their village, Escó, that was expropried under Franco’s regime for the construction of a large reservoir. Now, the construction of a highway to the Pyrenees threatens the Guallar home again. This is a portrait of the Guallar brothers who since childhood have lived in their crumbling village with their flock of sheep and the rural landscape that surrounds them. The documentary shows rural life, the reality of Guallar’s brothers and the challenges that the family has faced for years.
