The esteemed Gilbert Baker Film Festival has awarded Me llamo Violeta the Best in Festival Prize and the Best Documentary Prize.
Me llamo Violeta, directed by David de Castro and Marc Parramon, premiered at Malaga Film Festival and went on to win various awards including the Audience Award and Amnesty International Award at DocsBarcelona.
We are delighted to be participating in the festival that pays homage to Gilbert Baker, LGBT activist and originator of the rainbow flag. The festival will be held virtually from Monday 14th September through to Saturday 20th. All sessions will be between the hours 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm CST (USA). Me llamo Violeta is scheduled for streaming at 7:30pm CST (USA) on Saturday 19th of September. You can watch via the Gilbert Baker Film Festival’s website.
