McCurry, The Pursuit of Color, a feature-length documentary directed by Denis Delestrac, is an intimate portrait of the American photographer Steve McCurry, best known for his famous photograph “The Afghan Girl”. During a 40-year career spent traveling mostly alone, McCurry has captured countless portraits of human life, despite sometimes putting his own life at risk. The film’s director and close friend, Delestrac reveals the photographer’s private universe through interviews with family and friends, uncovering the story behind some of McCurry’s greatest work.
McCurry, The Pursuit of Color is a Polar Star Films & Intrepido Films production in association with SWR-ARTE, and distributed by Dogwoof and Karma Films.
