We’re delighted to announce that the Spanish Premiere for documentary The Crossroads of Chance will take place at the 24th edition of the Málaga Film Festival. The film will be competing in the official section “Cinema Cocina”, (Cooking Cinema) alongside 14 other films.
Filmed on location in Andalusia, Portugal, California, Chile and France, The Crossroads of Chance tells the story of the revolution in olive-oil production that has taken place in the last 25 years. A host of key characters including small-holders, academics and some of the world’s biggest producers, look back on the risks they took, the criticism they endured, the force of their determination and the scale of cooperation needed to bring their vision to life.
This year’s Málaga Film Festival hosts de the second edition of the Cinema Cocina. This competitive section aims to highlight the value of the interesting gastronomic-themed audiovisuals that are produced today. For this second edition there are nine Spanish works, in addition to others from Peru, Panama, Colombia and Mexico. In total, 15 documentaries (three of them out of competition), which are competing for the silver jasmine in this section, which will also feature the usual round tables and the Gala Dinner at the Miramar hotel.
