After four years in the making Idrissa, Chronicle of an Ordinary Death will celebrate its World Premiere at Seville Film Festival from 9th-17th November 2018.
Directors Xavier Artigas and Xapo Ortega follow up their ground-breaking documentary Ciutat Morta with another investigative film co-produced by Metromuster and Polar Star Films.
Idrissa, Chronicle of an Ordinary Death charts the case of Idrissa Diallo and the events that led up to his mysterious death. Having dismissed the case, the Spanish justice system blocked all access to the police file making it almost impossible to find out why this young Guinean died in a Barcelona migrant detention centre. The film’s investigative team launched a mammoth search: for Idrissa’s body, his family, for justice, and to discover what happened that night in a cell in the controversial detention centre.
Following the Premiere in SevilleIdrissa, Chronicle of an Ordinary Death will celebrate a special screening in Barcelona in November for all the film’s crowdfunders and supporters.
Idrissa, Chronicle of an Ordinary Death is a Metromuster and Polar Star Films co-production, with the support of ICEC, ICAA, MEDIA Europe and Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, in collaboration with CIE-NO, Directa, IRIDIA, Primavera Sound and TVC.
