It’s been a while since Polar Star Films produced a short film, so this year was about time! The film is question is Tempesta,
by Marta González, director of the documentary L’esma del temps and screenwriter of Colgados de un sueño, as well as crew member of Oscar-nominated Timecode by Juanjo Giménez.
In this new production we encounter a number of well-dressed characters undergoing a peculiar selection process in an abandoned factory, that will mark their destiny forever. The short film Tempesta is a critique of the selectivity and competitiveness found all over the art world. Shooting began in one of the best-known film locations in Barcelona, Can Batlló, 9 hectares of disused factory ground in La Bordeta, an ideal production location for our story. To complete the material we also filmed chroma colour scenes at Vadever studio. The film features talented actors and musicians, and will have a good dose of 3D and special effects to promise us a very unexpected ending.
Tempesta has received short film production funding from ICEC and is a Polar Star Films production.
